Venice Day 3

Day 3

Day 3 is a getaway to the islands of Burano and Murano. We took the Number 3 from Ferrarovia before changing to the Number 12 at the Murano Faro Stop to Burano. First stop Burano, the colourful houses is very colourful indeed. In the centre of the place, there is the lace museum and a church. Well the lace museum entry is €5/-, there is nothing much there actually. But they have clean toilets. Also there are alot of lace shops, though most souvenirs are Made in China.

After that, we are off to Murano, the same way we came from there. The glass making island indeed has alot of glass. During our time there, there are some display pieces all over the squares. Visited the Glass Museum as well, again there is nothing really fascinating, maybe we are not glass people.

We took back the 4.2 Vaperetto back, this ride goes around to the southern part of the main venice island, to the Arsenale area. It is a much longer ride to St Marks, I suppose. Maybe an hour?. And this time St Marks in the evening on our last night is beautiful. Though we would return after dinner again.

Dinner was again squid, this time with maize. The place is near the hotel, not that bad to eat. I wiped it clean. Later we grab a gelato and took the Vaperetto number 1 down to St Mark's again! And back up to the hotel after a tiring day.
